School Report - Moffett Elementary School

The Board received an update from Moffett Elementary School, presented by Principal Mrs. Michelle Brady, second-grade teacher Mrs. Fantel, and student leaders, highlighting the school’s strong PBIS implementation and commitment to building a positive campus culture through its C.A.R.E. values: Considerate, Always Safe, Respect and Responsibility, and Excellence. The presentation showcased how clear expectations, consistent reinforcement, and schoolwide recognition systems, including C.A.R.E. tickets and the Mustang Market rewards program, support positive student behavior and foster a welcoming, inclusive environment.

Board members also learned about Moffett’s structured PBIS team, ongoing assemblies, and data-driven approach to reviewing behavior trends and planning improvements. With 100% staff involvement and all grade levels participating in the Mustang Market, C.A.R.E. is embedded throughout the school community. The presentation concluded with student leaders presenting Board members with C.A.R.E. tickets and Moffett bracelets, reflecting the Mustang community's pride and unity.

Mid-Year LCAP Update

The Board received the District’s required mid-year update on the 2025–2026 Local Control and Accountability Plan (LCAP) and Budget Overview for Parents. The report provides a transparent progress update on student outcomes, expenditures, and implementation of actions across all LCAP goals. Updated state funding formulas also increased LCFF allocations, providing additional resources to support students and programs.

Mid-year data reflects positive momentum districtwide, including gains in English Language Arts and Math, improved progress for English Learners and Students with Disabilities, reduced suspension rates, decreased chronic absenteeism, and a continued zero middle school dropout rate. The District also maintained 100% compliance in core areas such as credentialed teachers, instructional materials, and facilities in good repair. The report highlights measurable progress while identifying areas for continued focus and targeted support.
