ScienceWorks Home

The ScienceWorks Consortium is an innovative and successful partnership of the Fountain Valley, Huntington Beach City, and Westminster school districts, providing every child with multiple opportunities to engage in hands-on, inquiry-based science.

Our Strategic Plan

Science Curriculum

All teachers have access to an integrated standards-based science curriculum that encourages student inquiry and provides thoughtful hands-on experiences.

Materials Resource Center

Science curriculum and materials are purchased, maintained, and delivered to schools.

Professional Development

Teachers participate in courses related to instructional material usage, effective inquiry, assessment practices, and science standards on a regular basis.

Assessment

Implementation of a cohesive integrated student assessment system at the district, site and classroom level.    Administrators, principals and teachers constantly review student and program results.

Community Involvement

Build meaningful relationships with community organizations to support science.
